World’s most popular engagement ring with thousands of Pinterest saves
From colourful stones, to elegant ovals and vintage inspired designs, engagement rings come in numerous styles but according to Pinterest, there’s one that stands out from the crowd.
It’s fair to say that brides-to-be spend a lot of time browsing the ‘visual bookmarking’ website for inspiration, on everything from invitations, bridesmaid dresses and decorations. But, when it comes to engagement rings, couples have branded a simple solitaire as the most popular style, with an impressive 103,900 saves on the site.
Whilst it may be a classic choice, the ring which is placed on Sylvia Billone’s finger is anything but ordinary.
The solitaire ring is 1.22 karats with a two-millimetre-width super-trendy rose gold band which flatters all skin tones.
Billone says that before she was engaged, she also took to Pinterest for ring inspiration.
In 2016, the top spot for the most popular engagement ring was held by a diamond called the ‘Verragio Venetian’ which was designed by American Jewellers Raymond Lee.
With over 63,000 pines on wedding-themed boards, the ring included a pave set diamond and twisted split shank with lace embellishments.
Other popular engagement rings on the site include:
- The Petite Pave Diamond Engagement Ring
- Classic Solitaire Engagement Ring in White Gold
- Halo Diamond Engagement Ring in White Gold
- Antique Floral Solitaire Engagement Ring in White Gold
- Florida Ivy Diamond Engagement Ring in White Gold
With the average couple spending approximately £1,080 on an engagement ring, data has revealed that the number of couples spending less than £500 has rabidly surged with approximately 18% of couples buying rings on a budget in recent years.
