Facebook photos reveal husband's second marriage

A spurned wife from Cleveland in the US, started divorce proceedings against her husband after she came across photographs of her spouse’s wedding to another woman.

41-year-old Lynn France became suspicious of her husband John France after he started taking frequent business trips. He claimed he was visiting overseas destinations however on one occasion she found his passport at home while he was “away on business.”

The mother-of-two’s suspicions were finally proved correct after she did a Facebook search on the name of the woman she suspected her husband of having an affair with.

Lynn’s worst fears were realised when she clicked onto the open profile of the woman her husband was seeing to find over 200 photographs of their wedding. John France was seen in the wedding snaps posing in a Prince Charming outfit alongside his smiling blonde bride who was dressed as Sleeping Beauty. Mr France had married his lover at a ceremony in Disney Land in Florida.

Mr France denies he’s a bigamist on the grounds that his first wedding to Lynn wasn’t valid. The pair married in a romantic ceremony on the Amalfi Coast in Italy during 2005. John France is now appealing to a family law court to declare his first marriage to Lynn “void since its inception.”

John France also claims Lynn made up the story of discovering his second marriage via Facebook. Mr France stands by his claim that Lynn knew about his relationship with his new wife, and that she fabricated the Facebook story to gain publicity as she was losing a custody battle over the couple’s two sons.
