The wedding between Beyonce and rapper Jay Z was shrouded in so much secrecy that the newlyweds wouldn’t even confirm the wedding had even taken place until many months after the nuptials. The pair reportedly tied the knot in New York in 2008, holding the reception in a marquee at Jay Z’s Tribeca penthouse, decorating the space with 60,000 white orchids flown in from Thailand at a cost of $500,000.

No details have ever been released regarding what the bride wore, that is until this week when the footage was seen on as part of a video montage of important moments in the 30-year-old’s life which is released as her latest music video, I Was Here.

The former Destiny’s Child singer is seen grinning as she’s helped into her white strapless wedding dress. The dress features a plunging neckline and cascading train falling in deep folds flowing out behind the bride-to-be whose hair is scraped back and isn’t wearing even a scrap of makeup. Beyonce’s mother, Tine Knowles, was believed to have made the wedding dress for her daughter.

The brief clip of Beyonce in her wedding dress is seen as part of a collection of home movies featuring pivotal moments in the 30-year-old’s life including her performance at Glastonbury, footage from her time with Destiny’s Child and also the moment she announced her pregnancy this year. The video montage will be feature on Beyonce’s new DVD, Live at Roseland Elements.

The 75-year-old groom and 70-year-old bride exchanged vows in a low key ceremony at Chelsea Register Office. Only the film maker’s close friend and actor, Michael Caine and his wife Shakira, were present during the ceremony and also acted as witnesses for the marriage.   

The film director first met his now wife when she was a 16-year-old aspiring actress auditioning for a part in Winner’s first film when he was just 21years of age. The pair dated for several months, but split up when the young film maker’s career took off and he moved to Hollywood, with Geraldine moving to France where she married and had three children.

The couple rekindled their relationship in 2005, with Miss Lyndon-Edwards moving into Winner’s London home. However the romance got off to faltering start after the millionaire film maker, said to be worth £35 million, started an affair with his 39-year-old secretary, Paola Lombard, prompting his new partner to leave his city pad. The affair didn’t last, with Winner and Miss Lyndon-Edwards reuniting several months later.

Michael Winner credited his now wife with nursing him back to full health after he almost died in 2007 after contracting a life threatening virus after eating an oyster.

Despite his reputation as a ladies man, and his hesitance to marry previously, the director says he simply felt getting married was the “right thing” to do. The newlyweds are planning to honeymoon in Portofino, Italy.

Jessie Wallace and Vince Morse...the wedding's off

In a turn of events worthy of an Eastender’s script, soap star Jessie Wallace called off her wedding to catering boss Vince Morse hours before the nuptials were due to take place at Pembroke Lodge, Richmond. A number of guests who hadn’t been contacted in time had to be turned away from the venue when they arrived, oblivious to the drama which had unfolded.

The Eastenders actress had reportedly been planning to jilt her groom at the later after discovering he’d sent explicit message to an ex partner in the run up to their big day. However the 39-year-old decided to cancel the wedding outright instead of going through with her plan to stand up 50-year-old Morse.

The lavish wedding was said to have cost £300,000 with couple also signed up with a glossy magazine for a full spread of the big day.

The mother-of-one has since threatened her now ex-fiancé with the police after he bombarded her with phone calls and messages in a desperate attempt to win her back. However Jessie wants to sever all ties with the catering company boss after the recent events.

Another row has also reportedly broken out between the former love birds over who gets the items from the wedding that never was. Both the bride and groom are arguing over who should get the £18,000 worth of champagne, while Jessie has already taken delivery of the mountain of cupcakes and £3,500 worth of flowers which should have been used for the wedding.

Danielle and Jamie have decided to postpone their wedding following a series of rows

Model Danielle Lloyd has reportedly called off her June wedding to her footballer fiancé, Jamie O’Hara, following a series of rows after the birth of their son.

The couple became engaged last November after 7 months of dating when the Spurs midfielder went down on one knee during a romantic break in Paris. The pair celebrated their big news in style, throwing a lavish engagement party at a top London hotel.

Shortly afterwards, the newly engaged couple revealed their other big news, that Danielle was pregnant. The couple welcomed baby Archie into the world in July, but three months after the birth, it seems the strain of caring for a newborn baby is taking its toll.

According to a source, the couple having been rowing regularly since the birth of their baby boy, and so 26-year-old Danielle has made the decision to postpone the wedding so she and Jamie can concentrate on their son adjusting to being parents.

A glossy magazine spread and hoards of celebrity and footballer guests were planned for the June nuptials next year. However the serial wag’s plans for a “big celebrity do” are now permanently on hold following a spate of arguments between the model and her Spurs footballer.

No alternative date for the wedding has been revealed. The couple reportedly want to focus their efforts on raising their newborn son, and also furthering their careers.

Mark Owen to wed Emma Ferguson in winter wedding

Take That’s Mark Owen has finally set the date he will wed his long-term partner and mother of his children, Emma Ferguson. The couple are due to tie the knot in a winter wedding sometime during November. Details surrounding the forthcoming nuptials are being closely guarded however some details have been leaked.

Wedding guests reportedly received save the date cards last week, however the chosen venue was missing from the information. Adding to the suspense, the guests have been asked to meet at a certain pick-up point from which they’ll be whisked away to the secret location. The Sun has reported that the couple have chosen to host their wedding at a Castle in the Scottish Highlands.

The modest pair have turned down lucrative magazine deals in a bid to keep their special occasion a private affair. Only 50 guests have been invited including all of Mark’s Take That band mates and even Robbie Williams is rumoured to have received an invite.

The wedding will top off what has been a fantastic few years for Mark. Since proposing to Emma in 2006 the couple have had two children, 3-year-old Elwood and 9-month-old Willow-Rose. Take That have also enjoyed phenomenal success since reforming gaining number one selling albums and playing to thousands of screaming fans as part of a nationwide tour. However Mark won’t be calling on his band mates to provide the entertainment on his big day; he’s ensured Howard, Gary and Jason that they have “the night off” so they’ll be free to enjoy themselves.

The loved-up pair began dating in May 2007 with Alex proposing a year later whilst on holiday in Italy. Last Friday the couple were seen out in London running last minute errands for their impending nuptials. They checked into a suite at Claridges on Saturday night in preparation for the ceremony.

Exclusive rights to the wedding have been sold to OK Magazine so no photos are yet available and reports surrounding the big day are sketchy. It is believed that none of Rachel’s former band mates from S Club 7 were invited as they are no longer in touch. However the bride is said to have walked down the aisle to one of their biggest hits, “Never had a dream come true.”

The venue is reported to have been festooned with white orchids and candles; ice sculptures were also seen being delivered. Speaking before the wedding Rachel insisted she’d gone “all out” in her preparations, and without giving anything away, described her gown as being a “meringue dress.”

Although the wedding seems to have gone without a hitch, the lead up to the big event was less smooth. In May of this year the 31-year old singer was mugged in broad daylight as she entered her £800,000 flat in North London. She was left “shaken” by the attack which saw 3 muggers threaten the terrified star, stealing her diamond engagement ring, Rolex watch and necklace.

Rachel insisted the wedding would be a family affair, however a few celebrities are rumoured to have attended. Last Christmas Rachel came second on the BBC1 show Strictly Come Dancing and is said to have invited her former dance partner Vince Simone and axed Judge Arlene Philips. Ex-Coronation Street actress Kate Ford was also spotted arriving at the luxury London hotel.
