Disaster strikes in the US after a bridesmaid dress is snatched on the day of the wedding

Pink bridesmaid dress stolen from a car in Delaware hours before the wedding

Disaster struck for one bride in Pike Creek, Delaware in the US last week after the dress that was due to be worn by her bridesmaid at the wedding ceremony was snatched just hours before they were due to walk down the aisle. 

Both the bride and the bridesmaid were inside a local beauty salon receiving the last minute touches for the big day when the theft occurred. They had left the car parked in a nearby car park whilst they visited the salon. 

When the bride and bridesmaid returned to the vehicle after receiving their pre-wedding pampering session, they discovered that the pink bridesmaid dress had been stolen. A bag which contained the wedding attendant’s accessories had also been taken. 

The police believe that the robbers may have overrode the car’s locking systems as no evidence of a break-in was found, also there was no damage to the car. 

A search was launched and the police sought to track down the dress in time for the nuptials. However with only a few hours to spare until the wedding, it was a tall order.
