Supermarket chain Asda set to launch bargain wedding range
George at Asda will offer wedding gowns starting at just £60 from May
Leading supermarket chain Asda are set to launch a range of wedding products designed to offer affordable options to those tying the knot on a budget.
The supermarket said the results of a survey they conducted recently found that the biggest concern amongst brides-to-be was the cost of their wedding. Asda is now hoping that their bargain wedding collection, which includes bridesmaid dresses which start from £28 each and bridal gowns for just £60, will go some way to alleviating these fears.
A spokeswoman from Asda said they are anticipating a high demand for their new affordable range, especially with couples having got engaged recently over the Valentine’s weekend. She added that Asda were “proud to be launching the UK’s most affordable wedding collection.”
With the average wedding in the UK estimated to cost £20,000 and with the country struggling to claw its way out of recession, the timing of Asda’s low cost wedding range couldn’t be better.
As well as wedding rings for £64, and flowers for under £50, suits for the groom starting at just £60, Asda estimate you will be able to get all your wedding essentials for under £1,000 courtesy of the new discount range. Interested couples are advised to register early, as the collection is likely to fly off the shelves when it is finally released for sale this May, just in time for the peak wedding season.
