Katy Perry and Russell Brand's big day is the one most people would like an invite to
The celebrity pair proved more popular than even royal couple, Prince William and Kate Middleton, and also Hollywood royalty, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
2,000 people were questioned as part of the survey, with 26% saying the celebrity wedding they’d most like to attend, is that of Katy and Russell.
Rumour has it that the popular couple are planning to tie the knot in October, a year after they first started dating. Katy and Russell got engaged on New Year’s Eve while on holiday in India after a whirlwind romance.
Runners-up in the poll were Waity Katy and Prince William who won 13% of the vote, despite the fact that they’re not even engaged yet. The couple who came in last were former One Show presenter, Christine Bleakley and footballer beau Frank Lampard with 3% of those questioned saying they’d love an invite to their big day.
Plans are said to be well underway for the most popular celebrity wedding of the year as reports have emerged that 34-year-old Russell and California Gurls singer Katy have already sent out their “save the date” cards for their wedding, and have requested guests put the week aside for their nuptials.
The 25-year-old bride-to-be is also enjoying the pre-wedding celebrations having thrown an Alice-in-Wonderland themed bridal shower in LA to which only 11 of her closest friends were invited.
