Furious bride changes name by deed poll to “I Hate Thomas Cook” after honeymoon fall out

A furious bride from Ipswich as changed her name by deed poll to ‘Mrs Lorraine Darla I Hate Thomas Cook And Its Associates Big Shot Company Treading On The Little Guy Leeks’ after a dispute with the holiday company over a name change on her honeymoon travel documents.

The bride-to-be, formerly known as Austin Kettle, is planning to get married in February of next year, and booked her honeymoon to Gambia through Thomas Cook. However the 26-year-old realised she had made a mistake booking her honeymoon under her new married name of Leeks as she wouldn’t have enough time after the wedding to change her name on her passport before flying off on her holiday of a lifetime.

After being informed by the travel company that she would incur a fee for changing her name on the travel documents after making the booking, the bride-to-be decided to stage an unusual protest by altering her name permanently by deed poll.

Newly named “I Hate Thomas Cook” says she made the decision to change her name in a “crazy moment.” The 26-year-old says she is looking forward to hearing her fiancé saying her new name when they take their marriage vows next year.
