Fearne Cotton’s engagement news
Fearne Cotton has been dating US skater star Jesse Jenkins on and off for the last two years
Fearne Cotton got more than she bargained for on her 29th birthday last week after her American skater boyfriend popped the question.
According to sources close to the London born DJ, the proposal was unexpected, but Fearne was thrilled none the less and wasted no time in agreeing to marry her on/off boyfriend Jesse Jenkins.
The Radio presenter was blindfolded by her 24-year-old boyfriend and taken to Richmond Park. When the blindfold was taken off, Jesse was down on one knee with a diamond engagement ring in his hand.
Later that day the star took to her Twitter page to drop a hint to fans about the happy news as she wrote: “Having the BEST day full of surprises!”
The couple first started dating back in 2008 but broke up briefly last year before getting their romance back on track 6 months ago. Fearne has previously dated a string of high profile men including Lost Prophets front man Ian Watkins, Peter Brame from Fame Academy and also Welsh Channel 4 presenter, Steve Jones.
Fearne showed off her diamond sparkler on Monday as she left the Radio 1 studios in central London after hosting her radio show. A spokesperson for the star has confirmed the engagement news, although it’s believed no wedding plans have been set yet.
