Cheryl Cole gives into Ashley’s pleas for marriage counselling

Cheryl Cole’s resolve seems to wavering as it was revealed this week that she’s agreed to undergo marriage counselling with her cheating husband Ashley in a last ditch attempt to save their relationship.

However reconciliation looks doubtful, as both Cheryl and Ashley have been spotted minus their wedding rings, suggesting the couple are resigned to the fact that a divorce is on the cards.

It’s understood that the Girls Aloud singer has taken a number of pleading phone calls and text messages from the Chelsea footballer in which he begs her to agree to marriage counselling. A source close to the X-Factor judge says she’s willing to hear Ashley’s side of the story to give him the opportunity to talk through his grievances adding that Cheryl “understands how he could think that she let him down as a wife.”

Although the Fight For This Love singer is still reported to be furious with her estranged husband after details of his dalliances with a string of other women were uncovered by the media, she has agreed to hear his side of the story.

It is thought that the counselling session will take place at the couple’s martial home in Surrey as early as next week, after injured 29-year-old footballer returns home from France where he has been receiving treatment for an ankle injury.

Cheryl announced the couple’s separation last week after returning home from Los Angeles. She has not spoken publically about the split.
