Rise Hall near Hornsea in East Yorkshire, was purchased by the couple 10 years ago for £441,101 and has undergone a complete revamp since the pair took ownership of the impressive manor house. Sarah Beeny and her husband described how they endured a very stressful 12 months in order to obtain the correct licensing to host civil ceremony weddings at Rise Hall, however all of the necessary documents are in place and the venue is ready to start taking bookings.

A 37-year-old London underground worker, Ola Kukete was sentenced to 18 months in prison for his part in arranging the would-be scam marriage. It’s understood that Kukete set-up the sham marriage and received £2,000 for his part in the immigration scam.

The serial bogus bride however, insisted that she had not received the £6,000 promised to her for marrying a third man in order for him to remain in the UK. Dalal said she agreed to the bogus marriage, her third in 6 years, as she needed the money to pay off her debts.

The phoney bride, who is currently living on benefits, married a West African man in 2005 and in 2009 married for the second time, despite having never divorced her first husband, again the new husband was not a British citizen and was reported to be an Indian man.

Dalal walked free from court this week, but was ordered to carry 120 hours of unpaid work and handed a three month jail sentence suspended for 12 months.

The blaze broke out at approximately 5am on June 19^th at Peckforton Castle, Cheshire, and 100 fire fighters were called to Grade l listed building to battle the fire. 200 guests at the country house had to be evacuated, many of whom were guests of the couple, and the fire was estimated to have caused in the region of £6 million worth of damage to the luxury wedding venue.

The bride and groom had argued with the venue owners over their late payment for the venue, and also on the day of the wedding another dispute arose over a bar bill. Property developer Kay was described as being under a great deal of personal strain around the time of the wedding as he was on the brink of bankruptcy.

The father-of-two was captured on CCTV cameras entering the drawing room where the fire originated. Following a fire investigation, experts pinpointed the source of the fire to the curtains in the drawing room where Kay was seen entering and leaving prior to the alarm being raised.

Kay has been remanded on conditional bail until February 3^rd when he’s due to appear again in front of Chester Crown Court for sentencing. The judge told the 36-year-old that a custodial sentence is inevitable.

43-year-old Jacqueline Barrie married Euan Fleming in 1994, but the couple separated in 2008, after which Mrs Barrie sought legal advice and believed she was divorced from her first husband. The couple went their separate ways, but no divorce was officially entered into, it was later discovered.

After meeting new love, Kenneth Barrie, the pair married in a registry office in Aberdeen in June 2010, the pictures from which were posted on a social networking site and were spotted by Mr Fleming who then alerted the police.

Although the couple were separated, and to all intents and purposes, living separate lives, no divorce proceedings had officially been instigated. Mrs Barrie later admitted to bigamy in court and accepted she should have waited for the legal paperwork to be finalised before getting married for a second time.

Mrs Barrie, who now lives in the Middle East with her new husband, said she regretted her actions, and has now had a divorce from Mr Fleming finalised. Mrs Barrie re-married her second spouse in April of this year following the finalisation of her first divorce.

The court issued Mrs Barrie with a fine for £500 after she admitted one count of bigamy.
